About Us

The workforce intelligence platform helping professionals discover who they are, explore where they thrive, and retain what they learn.

Our Thesis

The global talent crisis isn't a skills shortage. Professionals are navigating a system that doesn't help them see who they are, where they thrive, or how to hold onto what they learn. Without that, critical thinking has nothing to stand on.

Skills are downstream. The harder problem, and the one almost no platform is solving, is that professionals don't have a way to see who they actually are or what makes them distinctively valuable. Until that gets solved, every skills initiative is being built on sand.

ClaraLearn is the bet we've made on closing that gap.

What We're Building

In the labor market, value has historically been a function of two things: skills and scarcity. AI is collapsing both sides. It absorbs the skill, and democratization erodes the scarcity. What still belongs to the human is critical thinking and durable domain knowledge.

ClaraLearn is built to do three things at once:

  • Detect professional identity from how someone actually thinks and talks, not from a self-report quiz.
  • Explore what will make them thrive, including the new professions and pathways that didn't exist five years ago.
  • Embed retention into the assessment itself, so every interaction with the system is simultaneously a measurement and a learning event.

The platform is industry-agnostic and life-stage-agnostic on purpose. Markets will keep moving. People shouldn't have to start from zero every time they do.

Our Founders

Anand Shekhar

Anand Shekhar

Co-founder & CEO

Anand spent fifteen years building enterprise platforms at Deloitte, Icertis, and Cadillac Fairview before starting ClaraLearn. His work spanned AI-led contract intelligence, mission-critical public sector programs, and the AI & Digital Applications roadmap for a major property technology portfolio.

The founding conviction came from a pattern he kept seeing across every organization: professionals were learning more and retaining less, doing more and knowing themselves less. Every tool they had was organized around job titles, not around the person. ClaraLearn is the platform he wished existed.

Ram Iyer

Ram Iyer

Co-founder & CTO

Ram's career spans globally recognized organizations including Samsung, Loblaws, and Reliance Industries, where he has consistently delivered transformative results. With a proven track record leading cross-functional teams, he has designed and deployed high-impact AI/ML solutions that streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and align with strategic business goals.

At ClaraLearn, Ram leads the technical architecture across the identity engine and the adaptive assessment loop, with a hard rule: every component ships only if measurement is baked in before the feature does.

Where We See Things Headed

AI is absorbing skills. Democratization is eroding scarcity. The two pillars that priced human labor historically are coming down at the same time. What is left for the human is the discipline of thinking well: the cultivated capacity to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate. It is not a skill. It is a habit. And it is the one thing AI cannot absorb, because cultivation is a lifelong process, not a transaction.

L&D becomes infrastructure, not a function. Not a department. Not a cost center. The organizations that run learning like an ops discipline, with cadence, measurement, and feedback loops, will leave everyone else behind.
Assessment becomes the most strategic surface in the stack. When content is free, the only thing that tells you whether learning happened is the question you ask. The person who can ask the right question at the right moment and turn the answer into a signal is the most leveraged person in L&D.
The question for the field changes. It used to be “how do we deliver this content.” That is solved. The new question is “do we actually know our learners, and can we prove their thinking is getting sharper.” That is where the value is. That is where the leaders should be planting the flag.
